Interesting topic.. thank you IGP
The overall topics that have discussed are informative. Thankss! ❤️
It is plausible that native speakers of English can no longer make strong proprietary claims to the language which they now share with most of the developed world. And France feels most threatened by the English language. These objective questions in the Live Quiz had slipped out from my cognition as I was not able to start watching the webinar on time. There are 430 million people who speak English as their first language and 54 sovereign states use English as their official language. Lesson learned: I should be on time for the IGP webinars except otherwise when some unavoidable issues arise. So far, we have been considering English as a second language, but in the rest of the world, English is a foreign language. English language teaching goes on in a CLT classroom that focuses on real-life communication skills. It is clearly part of the professionalism of a teacher of English to foreigners to be aware of the context and how teaching fits into the scheme. Assessment is a critical part of effective literacy development to know whether or not students have learned, whether or not teaching has been effective, or how best to address student learning needs. This webinar session is superb and I heartily recommend IGP's webinar platform that always feeds the skills of the knowledge seekers in a satisfied glow. The speakers elucidated well about the topic full of insights. Thank you so much IGP for another accumulation of learnings. Am looking forward to more inputs from you. Splendid!
