I've got a lot of things from this webinar session through the insightful presentations of the speakers. My insightful take: Every human being has an urge to lead, inspire, and contribute for the greater good. There is always a leader within us who is trying to break boundaries and set good examples worthy to be emulated. However, "before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others." (Jack Welch). In cognizance that we are living in the VUCA world, the VUCA leadership principle takes into consideration Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity which have to be dealt with in various conditions and circumstances. The VUCA world is posing innumerable challenges upon all the organizational stalwarts. As author Bob Johansen notes in his book, "The New Leadership Literacies: Thriving in the Future of Extreme Disruption and Distributed Everything," volatility leads to vision; uncertainty to understanding; complexity to clarity; and ambiguity to adaptability and agility. Responsible leadership is all about sustainable leadership. Motivation is a key factor for deriving effective results. Thus, leaders should focus on enhancing the motivational aspect of employees to achieve the best results. As the leaders are entrusted with the task of creating more leaders, therefore, it is crucial for them to be visionary for having the foresight of the future social milieu. As change is the only constant thing, effective leaders do not allow change to cloud their vision, they might revise their strategies to achieve that vision.
